Walmart, Winnebagos and trans horror!
My next interview is with Brianne.
Brianne was born in Ottawa and was there for a minute or two before relocating across our big land to Vancouver.
Most of her childhood and young adulthood was spent in isolation, feeling alone and not fitting in anywhere, until one day, on the bus, she had an epiphany. "Maybe I’m a woman!" And thus started her journey to accepting life...specifically her own.
Horror stories galore, being transgender was not going to be an easy journey, but it was a journey she knew she needed to make in order to be happy and whole.
Brianne is now fully transitioned, has 2 kids, a wife, and a Winnebago...and that Winnebago helped shaped who she is today.
She and her wife, Lyn started the Calgary Trans Hub - a support and resource for people transitioning. Check it out; it's amazing and much needed.
Brianne is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview, and I can't say enough about that Winnebago!
Please welcome to Awesome People, Brianne.
I hope you enjoyed this interview with another amazing community hero!
